A Membership in HR Alliance - Pays for Itself!
HR Alliance is the only HR association you need to give you industry-specific, regionally-focused, highly-relevant resources, answers, networking and professional credits through HRCI and SHRM at one low price for you or your team.
- Traditional Members receive free registration to regularly scheduled HR Alliance programs in the DC area. Eight programs per year are scheduled and cover helpful, compelling topics. Non-member and Guest price is $60 per event, making it a $480 value free to members. Those with Virtual Memberships attend our Virtual events for free, but will pay half price to be physically present for our Hybrid or In-Person programs.
- Eight to 12 HRCI recertification credits or SHRM PDCs at no cost through programs to help you maintain your HRCI aPHRTM, PHR, PHRca, SPHR, GPHR, PHRiTM and SPHRiTM certifications or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP – other organizations charge up to $89 per credit hour making this nearly a $1,000 educational value.
- Significant discounts on the annual HR Alliance Compensation Survey Results. Our traditional members receive significant savings, depending on membership level and survey participation. Those with a Virtual Membership do not receive a discount.
- The right access, insights, network and resources saves you time…and frustration! HR Alliance members can access local HR professionals who can help solve problems, share ideas, impart experiences and connect you to proven resources so you never again are left struggling for answers to HR questions.
- A prominent member network. Coming from Washington’s top government contracting, technology, engineering and financial services organizations, members include subject matter experts from the professional services industry.
- Connect in multiple ways. Connect through our in-person events, LinkedIn Group, Twitter, Facebook, email exchanges and membership directory. Just think how many hours of your time can be saved!
- Teams can save even more with Organizational Memberships. These slots can be shared between multiple staff members so training and event attendance can be spread throughout a department.
- Job Board - Use of our website job board at no cost for our traditional memberships! Virtual members post for $75. Members are able to log in and post HR-related positions for a 60-day period. Non-members must create a special profile and pay $150 for a 60-day listing.
- Networking and other Membership Committee Events - free admittance for all membership levels to attend events organized by our Membership Committee which could include Happy Hours, "Coffee with a Leader", or Idea Exchanges.
Types of Membership
- Organizational Membership: Organizations desiring memberships for multiple individuals may benefit from the Organizational Membership option where the price per member decreases with each additional membership purchased. Organizations can purchase any number of membership "slots". Admittance to all programs and virtual events is included in the fee, limited by the number of "membership slots" purchased. Organizational members are able to purchase the annual HR Alliance Compensation Survey at a discounted price and post free on our Job Board.

- Individual Membership: Persons wishing to have a fully transportable membership - your membership stays with you regardless of where you work or if you are in transition - will benefit from the Individual Membership option. The fee for an Individual Membership is $300 for twelve months and includes admittance to all programs and virtual events. Individual members are able to post on the HR Alliance Job Board for no cost and receive a discount on purchase of our annual HR Alliance Compensation Survey.
- Virtual Membership: This is another fully transportable membership option. The fee for the Virtual Membership is $250 for twelve months and includes admittance to all virtual programs and events. Our Virtual Members will pay 50% of the program fee to attend in-person. In-person networking events are free. Job Board postings are also available at a 50% reduction as compared to the non-member price.
- Student Membership: Applicants must be enrolled as full or part time students studying HR or a related field at the bachelors or masters level. (Student status will be verified at the time of application.) The Student Membership fee is $95 per year and includes admittance to all programs and virtual events.
