February’s program will be a panelist discussion around three very important aspects given our working world as we know it today: physical, financial and emotional safety in the workplace.
This portion of the program will provide an understanding of how organizations can further their employee health and safety efforts through a holistic approach, inclusive of mental health effects, which can increase productivity in the workplace, enhance organizational resilience, and contribute to positive financial outcomes. We will be sharing examples of how proactive safety practices can assist business leaders as we continue to navigate the challenges of COVID-19.
Financial safety in the workplace includes financial wellness. How confident are you that your retirement plan is healthy in meeting compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations? Are your employees demonstrating good financial wellness practices? Our discussion will include a focus on vital signs to help you evaluate the condition of your retirement plan and share prescriptions on strategies you can use to maintain good plan health, while exploring ways employees can improve their financial wellness.
People bring their best selves to work when they feel connected to the mission of the organization and the people around them. We’ll discuss how companies that foster social/emotional connections as a strategic priority and values the positive emotions around compassion, joy and caring are more likely to experience greater productivity and engagement, while protecting against illness, loneliness and burnout.

Guy Gioino brings two decades of experience in the safety and risk consulting field to HUB International, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Risk Services Leader for HUB’s East Region. In his career, Mr. Gioino has held various positions within the Environmental, Health and Safety and Risk Management profession, including 8+ years in the manufacturing industry, with roles such as a Corporate Safety and Health Manager for a primary market leader in the paint and coatings industry, and as an EHS Engineer for a global Tier I automotive supplier.
Since 2006, Guy has provided property and casualty risk management services to a wide variety of industries, including construction, elevator/escalator, education, finance, hospitality, healthcare, non-profit, manufacturing, property management/real estate, museums/fine arts, transportation/distribution, retail, restaurants/nightlife.
Guy has assisted clients with risk reduction efforts through the development of safety programs, training, management system development, risk assessments, and has formed strong client and market partner relationships. Mr. Gioino has been a frequent speaker and panelist at various professional association and industry specific conferences.
Guy holds a Master’s of Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Rutgers University, Newark.
Michael Rhim is a principal with PRM Consulting and heads the defined contribution practice for the firm. He joined PRM in 2008 after serving for over 20 years as a manager and account executive for TIAA, one of the largest retirement financial services firms in the country. He has over 30 years of consulting experience in the retirement and employee benefits arena.
Mr. Rhim received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Howard University in 1981. He held several FINRA licenses, as well as health insurance licenses in various states, all while working in the financial services industry. He maintains a CEBS designation.
Mr. Rhim has more than 30 years of experience in the retirement industry. As practice leader, his current role has him serving as account executive for several PRM clients, speaking at conferences around the country, and serving as an expert on 403(b), 401(k), 401(a), 457(b), 457(f) and a host of other retirement arrangements. His expertise includes conducting comparative record-keeping and investment advisor searches and due diligence analysis for clients, as well as conducting such services as fee analysis, investment menu construction, compliance and plan design analysis, discrimination testing, plan document reviews, retirement trend analysis, Form 5500 services, and more. His client list is extensive, ranging from Milwaukee Public Schools where he assisted the system in reducing their retirement vendors, to City University of New York (CUNY), where he successfully conducted a search for an investment advisor for their $2 billion defined contribution plan. He has worked with various entities on plan governance, searches, and fee due diligence, including clients like American Chemistry Counsel, American Health Lawyers Association, City of Virginia Beach, Carnegie Institute of Science, Chemonics, Emergent Bio Solutions, Howard University, National Development Council, Pew Institute, University of Maryland Medical Systems, Virginia Bankers Association, Virginia Port Authority, and Zero to Three, to name a few. He was hired by Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) to provide a retirement white paper on multi-vendor solutions in the public sector. He is currently under contract to provide strategic retirement work for the DC Government through a sub-contracting arrangement with ICMA-RC. He has led employee education efforts through combining retirement seminars with other education services to provide a holistic approach for institutions and plan participants.
Mr. Rhim has led other client work in the areas of executive coaching, strategic planning, and management consulting, for such notable clients as Georgetown University, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Frederick County, UNC Chapel Hill, Yale New Haven Hospital, and a host of other non-profit, public and private institutions throughout the country.
Rani Collins, MPH, is a senior consultant, Wellbeing & Engagement Practice at Gallagher. Rani brings 20 years of experience in developing and implementing systems, policies, and strategies that optimize organizational, group, and employee wellbeing. Rani works with Gallagher teams and clients to design holistic, innovative methodologies that address all dimensions of wellbeing.
Prior to joining Gallagher Benefit Services, Rani served as a Prevention Director and Special Staff Officer for the United States Marine Corps. Rani directed large scale, strategic initiatives designed to enhance total wellbeing, strengthen resilience, and reduce the prevalence of negative health outcomes. Prior to her work with the Marine Corps, Rani worked for the Arizona Department of Education where she administered statewide efforts for improving school climate and the overall health and safety of K-12 students.
Rani’s comprehensive approach to the development and implementation of wellbeing programs is strategic and tactical – from setting long and short-term goals, objectives, and strategies based on the mission and need of her clients to ensuring successful implementation. She engages stakeholders, builds relationships, and utilizes best practices for integrative solutions that enable success.
Rani graduated from the Ohio State University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH), specializing in Health Behavior and Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Medical Sociology. She has presented at national conferences such as the American Public Health Association and American School Health Association. Rani serves on advisory groups, is actively involved in her community school, and was a member of the Camp Lejeune District School Board.
Friderike Butler, PCC, MS ODKM, is the Principal Executive Coach at Strategic Resolution Experts Inc. (SRE), a woman-owned government contracting firm dedicated to the betterment of the world through the support and development of resilient, compassionate and courageous leaders and their teams.
Friderike draws inspiration from her work as a successful serial intra-and entrepreneur, building several businesses in the travel, IT, and communication industry from the ground up to full viability. At the core of her work as a leadership development consultant and executive coach, Friderike is a catalyst for change, growth, purpose, and inspiration in the workplace. She firmly believes in the value of developing creative leaders at every level of an organization by helping them identify and step into their best selves and shining a light on their unique strengths and talents. Friderike has delivered executive coaching and organizational development consulting services to NASA, the Office for International Programs at FDA, FEMA, local government bodies, as well as Fortune 500 companies such as Intelsat, Micron, and GSK. Her work incorporates Narrative Intelligence and story formation to create collaborative, engaging, and supportive team and organizational cultures.
Friderike holds a Master’s degree in Organization Development and Knowledge Management and a BIS degree in Cross Cultural Management and Communication from George Mason University. She is a graduate of the Transformational Leadership coaching program at Georgetown University. When she is not engaged in leadership conversations, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring nature under water.
