Join us at the Tower Club for our HR Alliance DC Annual Meeting and our First Program of the Year!

Networking: 7:45 - 8:05 AM
Arrive early for an opportunity to meet new people!

Program Description:
Today’s employees are informed and empowered to speak up about their rights to work in fair, equitable and inclusive environments.  Employers are evolving: first to prevent, and then to decisively respond to harassment and discrimination issues.  Employers are also ensuring that management training is modernized to be interactive and integrated with organizational values and key business objectives.  Leaders have become more vigilant about the power of communications and the importance of inclusion.

Join us for an interactive and strategic discussion with an employment lawyer and your peers about how HR leaders in the modern era are prioritizing new competencies, including cultivating an open and fair complaint process, developing the right kind of management training programs, fostering modern cultural messaging and ensuring values-based leadership, management and accountability.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand modern trends and laws driving expectations of equity in the workplace
  • Review the requirements of an effective complaint and response process
  • Learn how modern HR leaders are building and driving cultures of accountability
  • Review why and how traditional HR training is evolving into complex leadership development
  • Evaluate the importance of preparing leaders to be accountable for the manner in which they respond to concerns, how they message their commitment to ethics and integrity, and how they remediate issues that come to their attention.
