Program Description

“Shortage of Talent” is one of the top HR 2024 challenges due to high turnover rates, Quiet Quitting, millions of unfilled job openings, and a demographic shift with Baby Boomers retiring. Talent is a company’s greatest asset so, surprisingly, only 35% of organizations have a formalized succession plan and, more shockingly, only 14% thought their organization’s planning process is highly effective.

Join us for our June Program to learn about how developing an effective Succession Plan is a critical process for organizations to ensure a smooth leadership transition and to maintain stability.

During this program, you will have a chance to collaborate with other HR professionals to achieve the following learning objectives:

  • Define Succession Planning
  • Explore how to build an effective Succession Planning Framework
  • Discuss how to integrate Succession Planning with Talent Management

Speaker: Trang Gulian, Talent Management Leader

Trang Gulian is a talent management leader with a focus on talent acquisition in the technology and software sector for 15+ years, she is passionate about partnering with key stakeholders to align human capital strategies to promote employee satisfaction throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Trang’s approach is to partner with stakeholders to understand their business goals to identify current and future talent needs. Trang then researches and develops recruiting strategies to attract talent in technology, sales and marketing, and product/services talents in both domestically and globally. Trang’s core strength is her ability to align talent management approach with the business and human capital. Her goal is to understand each business leader’s unique needs and provide recommendations that work effectively with their culture and values. She never uses a cookie cutter approach, because she understands that is the quickest way to fall short.

Trang earned a Bachelor of Science in consumer economics at University of Maryland and a Master of Science in personnel and human resources at American University.
