Arrive early for an opportunity to meet new people!

Program Description:
The past three years have been an unplanned experiment (involving 50 million people) in changing how we work. Employers have evolved their operating models (remember a world that wasn’t “hybrid”?) and modern leaders are learning real-life lessons in mortality salience, psychological safety, employee activism, employee burnout, trust-based leadership, active listening and collaborative communication.

Join us for an interactive and strategic discussion with an employment lawyer and your peers, about the radical changes occurring in the employment and management landscapes and how your organization can respond and thrive.

During this session we will discuss:

  • The key attributes of effective modern leadership, and how those attributes have evolved to meet the realities of an agile post-pandemic generation
  • The emergence of employee activism, how employers can respond, and the role of social media
  • The realities of pay equity in a hybrid world
  • The emerging requirements of pay transparency laws

Speaker: Misti Mukherjee, Attorney at Law

Misti Mukherjee, the Founder of Extensio Law in Washington DC, is an employment lawyer and DEI practitioner with three decades of experience in employment law, corporate diversity and Board leadership.  Her law firm is named “Extensio”, Latin for “extension”, because its lawyers cultivate long-term relationships and complement client leadership teams.  Extensio lawyers are smart, pragmatic, efficient and creative, not only in solving complicated HR and employment law problems but also in investigating, anticipating and avoiding them.

Misti is a former General Counsel and Chief People Officer, and her practical, executive insight makes her a sought-after thought leader and speaker on employment law and DEI issues.  A critical thinker and evocative HR futurist, Misti is the host of extensio@work™, a popular podcast series that unpacks the common dynamics of thriving workplaces, how to promote equity and community at work, and how great leaders respond to opportunities to change and grow.
