The HR Alliance Board of Directors has launched Wednesday weekly online IDEA EXCHANGES that are open (available) to all HR leaders in the District, Maryland and Virginia.  The objective is to provide frequent opportunities for HR leaders to come together and share ideas, strategies and practices to help our profession, our employers and our peers successfully maneuver during these uncertain times.

IDEA EXCHANGES are not seminars, sales pitches or formal programs.  They are open platforms for professional dialogue during which breakout sessions will allow exploration of specific topics and group sharing for all participants.  This IDEA EXCHANGE, co-facilitated by an HR Alliance Board Member and Misti Mukherjee, Esq., founder of Extensio Law, will allow participants to specifically discuss the following topic areas:

  • Leadership Teams and Decision Making – How are leadership teams coalescing and making decisions in a fast paced and stressful environment?  Have new rules of senior team engagement and decision making emerged?  How have you adjusted priorities?  Have your leadership teams discussed transparency and how to balance anxiety with transparency?  How have you managed the speed of news and the lack of time to curate messages?  
  • Leaders Engaging Managers – What are some positive examples of engagement? How have you managed “check in” and understanding of levels of stress and engagement?  Have you coached managers about how you expect them to lead in a remote environment?  How do you calibrate meeting organization, quality, set up and preparation?  How have you cultivated 360-degree communication to enhance engagement?
