What does pay transparency really mean?  Learn how HR professionals can define transparency within their organizations and take back actionable steps to meet their organizational needs.

Joan has over 25 years of experience specializing in all aspects of human resources consulting with a primary focus in compensation. She provides consultation and services with expertise in the compensation plan design, development and implementation with an emphasis in employee pay, executive compensation, incentive rewards and pay-for-performance programs. Her clients range from small non-profits to Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to founding JBR Consulting, Joan held management and consulting positions in Mobil Corporation, Inova Health System, Buck Consultants, Alexander & Alexander and Noble Lowndes.

Joan graduated magna cum laude from Adelphi University with a degree in Mathematics. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certification Professional with SHRM (SHRM-SCP). She has served on the Total Rewards/Compensation and Benefits Special Expertise Panel for SHRM and currently serves on the board of the Prince William SHRM chapter.

Catherine Dovey has always been fascinated with why people are paid differently within organizations.  She has helped hundreds of companies optimize their pay systems.  Her work as an advisor to Boards and business executives over the past 25 years includes executive pay, base pay, incentives, and performance linkages.   

Catherine has advised executives in diverse industries including professional services, tech, life sciences, health care, financial services, manufacturing and non-profit.

A well-respected member of the HR community, Catherine has taught compensation classes at five universities and colleges.  She has MBA, CCP, GRP, CECP, SPHR and SHRM-SP.  Catherine has received awards for her contributions to the HR and business communities.

Justin Hampton is the Founder of the Compensation Tool, a market pricing and salary survey management software designed for Compensation Practitioners.  Prior to starting the Compensation Tool, Justin was a compensation practitioner for more than a decade, leading compensation initiatives for companies such as Greyhound, Starbucks, Big Fish Games and Product Madness throughout his career.  

As a subject matter expert in compensation with a passion for data analysis and streamlining processes, Justin designed the Compensation Tool to be simple, yet robust, while providing compensation practitioners at all levels of experience with functions and interactive reporting that Compensation Practitioners could actually use every day with their business stakeholders.  

Justin is an expert in Compensation principles and how to effectively apply those practices to support business stakeholders.  Using innovative approaches to interpreting salary survey data, benchmarking analysis, and human capital reporting, Justin and the Compensation Tool provide the information needed for Organizations to maintain a competitive position in the external market, while maintaining equitable pay, internally.
