Description:
Technology is the talk of the town these days.  Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the sexy new technology that HR professionals like to ignore.  On February 9th, join HR Alliance as we present a program on Artificial Intelligence and Human Resources - The Human Side of AI.  Our own Lisa Johnson, Vice President of Human Resources at KACE, will be joined by Dr. Allen Badeau, Chief Technology Officer at NCI Information Systems to discuss the intersection of human and artificial intelligence and how modern human capital experts should be thinking about AI.  

We promise a lively discussion that will show how:

  • AI is impacting the labor force
  • HR professionals should be thinking about AI to digitalize the workplace and improve operations
  • AI can influence the employee experience and, yes – even, employee engagement.

Join us and learn how to drive Human Capital AI in your organization.  This program will also include live demonstrations of a couple of AI tools.

  • Dr. Allen E. Badeau Jr, PhD, PMP, Chief Technology Officer / Senior Vice President and Director, NCI Create Lab
  • Lisa Forma Johnson, VP of HR, KACE

Dr. Allen Badeau is the chief technology officer for NCI, as well as the director of the NCI Center for Rapid Engagement and Agile Technology Exchange (CREATE) Lab. In this role, he leads innovation research and development activities designed to add value to NCI’s customers and their missions, including cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, software defined networks, robotics, advanced data analytics, agile DevSecOps and many other areas.

With the CREATE Lab, NCI is building next-generation, value-based solutions for its customers utilizing a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment. Under Allen’s direction, the CREATE ecosystem brings together people, processes, and ideas, as well as software and hardware resources — exploring the strategy and implementation of new and advanced technologies, and redefining how innovation is integrated into our customers’ environment.

Prior to joining NCI, Allen held various leadership roles at ASRC Federal, CSC, Innovative Management & Technology Services and Lockheed Martin. Allen received his bachelor’s in physics, and both his master’s and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University.

Lisa Forman Johnson is the Vice President of Human Resources and is a hand-on leader responsible for successfully driving the overall human resources strategy as KACE experiences rapid growth.  Ms. Johnson’s oversight includes talent management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, professional development, employee experience and strategic communications.  

With over 25 years of diverse HR Leadership experience Lisa has proven successes transforming HR teams into highly productive, strategic business leaders.  Lisa’s career spans multiple industries to include staffing, e-commerce, airline, and Federal Human Capital consulting with Deloitte.  In 2018, Lisa was recognized as a Digital Innovator the Year by Employee Benefit News and led her team to achieve Employee Engagement Excellence and Recruitment Excellence recognition from the HR Services & Technology Association in 2018 and 2019.  In 2020, Lisa was recognized for HR Leadership in the DC Business Community.  

Lisa is an active volunteer in her community through Tree of Life and Tuscarora High School Performing Arts. She holds her SHRM-SCP and bachelor’s degree from ELON University.

HR Certification Institute's® (www.HRCI.org) official seal confirms that HR Alliance DC meets the criteria for pre-approved recertification credit(s) for any of HRCI’s eight credentials, including SPHR® and PHR®.  This program has been awarded 1.00 HR (General) credit.
