Jason Salamon

 
Name & Title: Jason A. Salamon is Vice President of Human Resources and Training at Edgewood and Vantage Management.

Brief Job Description: Jason has over 20 years of experience spanning all aspects of the Human Resources field.  After nearly ten years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and two years with Central Parking Corporation, Jason spent eight years at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he served as Vice President/Director of Human Resources for a Business Unit of 3,500 employees. Jason shifted to the real estate industry in 2013 through a role as Vice President of Human Resources for the Washington, DC division of NY-based REIT Vornado Realty Trust.  Jason joined the executive team of Edgewood/Vantage, a leading residential property management company, in July 2017.

Other Accomplishments/Memberships: Jason is an active member of SHRM and holds the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.  From HRCI, he holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.

Education: Jason has a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the George Washington University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Human Resources Management from American University 

Personal Interests: Jason is active on the Board of Directors for both his synagogue and his children's school.  He is an enthusiastic fan of his kids’ team sports activities, loves movies, and is an avid watcher of Seinfeld reruns, Homeland and Survivor.

Emily Bender


Name & Title: Emily Bender, Vice President, Human Resources, Orbital ATK

Brief Job Description: Emily has over 30 years of progressively responsible positions in the HR field, spanning a variety of industries including aerospace & defense, information technology, environmental, and hospitality.  Emily joined the Human Resources department of Orbital Sciences , a developer and manufacturer of small- and medium- class satellites and space systems, in 1998, and  led the HR function for the company.  In early 2015, Orbital merged with ATK, becoming Orbital ATK.  Emily’s current role is Vice President, Human Resources for the Space System Group, where she leads a team of 20 HR professionals overseeing the needs of approximately 3,000 employees nationwide.  She has been very involved in pre- and post- merger activities, from M&A due diligence through the integration of HR benefits, compensation systems, HR policies and other programs.

Other Accomplishments/Memberships: Emily holds a Human Capital Strategist certification from HCI and is a member of SHRM, HCI and WACABA.

Education: Emily has a B.S. degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from the University of Maryland.

Michelle Businger

Kristin Cotter



 
Name & Title: Kristin Cotter, Director, Human Resources, streetsense.

Brief Job Description: Kristin has over eighteen years of progressive experience in the field of Human Resources and is currently the Director of Human Resources at Streetsense.  In this role, she is using her experience to skillfully integrate employees and diverse cultures from companies Streetsense has acquired over the years. Kristin is also heavily involved in recruiting, implementing employee engagement initiatives and maintaining minimal turnover. Most recently, Kristin developed and managed the HR function at RainKing.  Prior to that she was the HR Manager at Orbital ATK and was a business partner to the executive management team at CoStar Group.  At Costar, Kristin managed a team of four HR Generalists who supported the sales, product development and marketing and research organizations.  Kristin is a SME on employee relations, coaching, conflict management, FMLA/ADA and merger/acquisition integration. Prior to joining CoStar, Kristin worked at CA for over five years as an HR Generalist where she supported IT, accounting, and both the federal and commercial sales and services teams.

Signy Whitt


 

Name & Title: Signy Whitt, Principal Compensation Analyst, Intelsat

Brief Job Description: Signy brings over 10 years of experience in a variety of roles, primarily focused on Finance, Planning & Analysis.  In her current role as Senior Compensation Analyst at Intelsat she partners with the sales and finance teams on all aspects of the Intelsat Sales Incentive Plan and provides modelling expertise for the corporate incentive plan as well as other compensation and headcount related analyses.  Signy loves working with cross-functional teams and has a passion for helping teams use numbers and analysis for efficient decision-making.

Other Accomplishments/Memberships: Signy has passed Levels I and II of the CFA exam and currently serves as the Secretary of the Intelsat Toastmasters Club.  She is a fluent Norwegian speaker and member of the Norwegian Ladies Club of DC, MD, VA having previously served as the Event Coordinator.

Clay Worley

Personal Interests: Clay is an avid mystery/spy novel reader and enjoys all types of music including playing the piano, learning the guitar and choral music.  He is a former member of the Washington Master Chorale.  For the last 18 years Clay has been involved with his children’s swim team serving as a referee.  Now that his children are older he and his wife plan to enjoy a bit of travel with no kids.
