As the workforce continues to evolve with the exiting of baby boomers and the entrance of millennials, and with the increasing percentages of minorities in the United States and the workforce, it will be important for progressive employers to be mindful of these developments, but more importantly to design and deploy strategies that ensure their workforce is reflective of the make-up of America. Research proves that diverse teams often yield the best ideas and solutions. Creating a diverse workforce, with intentionality, is often more rewarding and good for business. This presentation will be directed towards each constituency in the HR Alliance whether the HR leader is aligned with a Government Contracting firm, Non-Profit, and Corporate Organization. Participants should expect to learn of the Best-Practices, based on research and empirical data, on identifying high-potential talent across each of the major diversity distinctions: Age, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Race, Physical Impairment and other distinctions. Additional learning will include how to design programs that attract the most qualified and premium level talent.
After attending this session, participants will:
- Be armed with tools to identify where and how to connect with high-potential diverse talent
- Have a roadmap on launching Diversity Hiring Initiatives or Programs
- Have a clear sense of how to develop and retain diverse talent
